Is my spouse allowed to work in Taiwan?

Yes, but an individual work permit must be obtained through the Ministry of Labor. There are no restrictions on the type of work. However, if other regulations require professional certification or registration before engaging in certain work (e.g., for physicians), the spouse of a foreign specialist or senior professional must obtain the relevant qualifications in accordance with those regulations.
