Electrical engineers design, develop, and test electrical devices and equipment, including communications systems, power distribution system, switchgears HV &MV, and electrical systems for industrial and power utility. They also oversee the manufacture of these devices, systems, and equipment.
Job responsibilities:
You will write reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies of digital solution for substation.
You will prepare specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
You will supervise or train project team members and sub-contractors for installation and system commissioning.
You will estimate material, labour, or construction costs for budget preparation.
You will maintain electrical equipment.
You will work with a variety of technicians.
You will perform a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
You will ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
You will establish construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
You will ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
