Housing Coordinator (Contract)
Position Type: Contract Period: May to August 31, 2025
The Housing Coordinator is responsible for the safety and security, availability, maintenance and comfort of the housing options for students at CIEE Taipei. This is including but not limited to the booking of dormitories, hotels, home stays and other housing, addressing maintenance of the current housing stock and a pipeline of housing options for future programs. The Housing Coordinator works closely with Program Manager and Program Coordinators to ensure the best available housing fit for each student. The Housing Coordinator works with the Administrative Coordinator in managing contracts, bookings, and payments. This position requires a dedicated individual who is willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our homestay program. Key Responsibilities • Homestay Visits: Conduct regular visits to homestay locations to ensure they meet our standards and provide a safe, welcoming environment for students. These visits will often take place after office hours, on Saturdays, and Sundays to accommodate the schedules of homestay families. • Flexibility of Working Hours: The role requires flexibility in working hours, with a total of 40 hours per week. Other Responsibilities General • Support and implement the delivery of onsite housing services and logistical planning. • Daily administration program housing with host families. • Administer and prepare housing payments. • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Requirements • Minimal 1 year of experience in customer service, sales, business development, or recruiting. • Education - Bachelor´s degree required. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to achieve clearly stated goals and meet deadlines. • Demonstrate a proactive, collaborative, and organized working style with a positive outlook. • Have strong communication skills in Mandarin Chinese and English, written and verbal skills in both languages. • Need to have the confidence, interest, and soundness of judgement to provide effective communication with homestay families and participants from diverse backgrounds. • Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and be able to deal calmly with a student´s stress. • Ability to work with a flexible time schedule, some evenings and weekends, as required. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new platform systems. • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity. • “Insider” knowledge of Taipei and its accommodation resources is a plus.
