Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions (TGCS) is currently looking for a Product Owner to join our team in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The Product Owner supports the Product Management team in executing the product strategy, vision, and roadmap. Their primary focus is serving as the team’s Product Owner responsible for maximizing the value of the products created by the development team. This includes defining requirements and prioritizing the team’s backlog. They will work with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to understand product needs, assess the potential value in addressing those needs, and work cross-functionally to define, develop and deliver solutions. The Product Owner takes on one or more of these additional responsibilities: leads multiple development teams, defines the content for product releases, or takes on full product manager responsibilities, including roadmap ownership, for a subset of the overall product. They may bring experience in a specific functional area such as human-factors design, hardware / solution engineering, or business analysis. They may also have experience in a specific industry/field, such as retail operations or store IT.

Responsibilities: • Build, prioritize, and maintain a clear, comprehensive product backlog • Plan product release content and timelines, drive execution to maximize the value shipped • Provide voice of Customer to the engineering team, ensuring developers understand what to work on and why it is important. • Ensure requested function/specification is provided by the development team and/or documented when not possible. • Build product offering structures, and work closely with the Oracle EBS development team to ensure these are built and executed in-line with the product manager or product management team‘s requirements. • Serve as the product expert supporting internal and external stakeholders • Ensure product structures are maintained, including FC and MFI numbers are enabled to maximize the product offering. • Ensure standard models are measured and an appropriate list is maintained. • Ensure effective communication of product updates and releases are documented, communicated and planned accordingly. • Collate and maintain a BOM by product line working closely with the procurement team. • Perform any specific domain or functional responsibilities (i.e. if they were hired to bring Huma-factors expertise)
