Job Title: Senior Manager, Platform Security Engineering Location: Netgear Taiwan Engineering Center, Neihu, Taipei, Taiwan About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager to lead our growing Security Engineering team at the NETGEAR Taiwan Engineering Center. This role will oversee a cross-functional team of Security Technical Project Managers (TPMs), Security Software Engineers, and QA Engineers, ensuring the delivery of secure, high-quality home networking products. You will be responsible for driving security strategy, execution, and collaboration across internal teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and mentor a team consisting of Security TPMs, Security Software Engineers, and QA Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation. • Drive the identification, investigation, and remediation of security vulnerabilities in product firmware and systems to ensure the continued protection of NETGEAR products in the field. • Oversee the design and implementation of new security features, ensuring they meet evolving threat landscapes and compliance requirements. • Define and execute the overall security strategy for home networking products, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and industry standards. • Manage security-focused projects across all phases—from threat modeling and secure design to vulnerability mitigation and validation. • Partner with global engineering, product management, QA, and external vendors/ODMs to embed security best practices throughout the development lifecycle. • Review and guide secure coding, firmware development, and QA practices to deliver high-quality, resilient products. • Continuously monitor emerging security threats, trends, and vulnerabilities, and translate threat intelligence into actionable technical direction. • Serve as the primary escalation point for security incidents, cross-functional collaboration, and executive communications. • Lead process improvements, tooling enhancements, and automation initiatives to improve the team’s operational efficiency. • Report regularly on security posture, project progress, and risk assessments to executive stakeholders.
