Test Engineer

We’re seeking highly motivated Test Engineers to ensure the highest quality in our robotics products. As a Test Engineer, you’ll collaborate with a global cross-functional team, contributing to the validation of software, hardware, sensors, and systems as well as the manufacturing process. Your role involves executing tests, documenting procedures, and supporting various test-related activities. [ Note, that because we need to fill the role very quickly, the candidate should be already living in Taiwan.] 【Responsibilities:】 ● Conduct and support tests in the robot test lab for international and local R&D teams. ● Adapt quickly in a fast-changing prototype environment, demonstrating agility and initiative. ● Execute system tests, including understanding requirements, creating test scenarios, collecting test data, bug reporting, and preparing test reports. ● Set up, create, and maintain test environments and fixtures. ● Oversee whole robot system-level testing and technical transfers, serving as the interface representative between software and system teams. ● Drive test process improvements, Test Plan and Test Case development, SOP creation, and manage test documentation. ● Factory production tests support. ● Site deployment and related tests support. 【Requirements:】 Working hours: The position entails office-based work in rotational shifts, either weekly or biweekly, to accommodate project schedules, resource allocation, and the well-being of team members. Shifts definition is as follows: ● R: 09:00 - 18:00 ● B: 13:00 - 22:00 【Qualifications】 ● Bachelor’s degree of Computer Science, computer engineering, information management, electrical engineering, or equivalent practical experience. ● Proficiency in Linux, GIT, and experience with issue tracking systems like JIRA. ● 3+ years of professional experience in testing software or hardware on electronic products or systems. ● Strong English communication skills (written/spoken) and Mandarin proficiency. ● Previous experience in test case creation, bug reporting, and triaging issues to closure. ● Knowledge of performance testing, reliability testing, or other types of testing. 【Mandatory Requirements】 ● Ability to debug issues, define root causes, and maintain attention to detail. ● Effective collaboration, communication, and commitment across diverse teams. ● Flexibility to work rotating shifts and availability for business trips when required. 【Bonus Skills】 ● Familiarity with the Robot Operating System (ROS). ● Hands-on experience in robotic arms, mobile robots, mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical domains. ● Coding experience in C++, and Python programming. ● Understanding of common robotics sensors such as cameras (RGB and Depth) and LIDARs. ● Proficiency in root cause analysis through log understanding and debugging.
