Key Sales Role Requirements and Experience
(1) Industry Knowledge: ● Experience in agriculture, livestock, or biotech industries, ideally with familiarity in livestock management or biosecurity solutions. ● Understanding of AI and technology solutions applied to agriculture or biotech sectors.
(2) Sales Skills: ● Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in technology or AI solutions. ● Ability to develop and execute sales strategies, generate leads, and close deals. ● Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills to articulate technical product benefits clearly.
(3) Technical Aptitude: ● Comfort with AI-driven products and software solutions, with capacity to learn and explain complex technology. ● Familiarity with CRM tools and sales pipeline management.
(4) Customer Engagement: ● Experience building long-term client relationships, especially with farmers, producers, or agribusiness stakeholders. ● Willingness to travel to client sites for demonstrations and relationship building (can be remote with occasional travel).
Desirable Attributes:
(1) Education: A degree in Agri-business, Animal Science, Agricultural Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
(2) Experience with Agritech: Prior experience selling or implementing agricultural technology solutions.
(3) Understanding of Data Analytics Tools: Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools to demonstrate the impact of AI solutions.
