Webcam Embedded Software Architect

As webcam ESW architect you will drive the definition and documentation of the features built-in to our video products. You will also, in collaboration with the software team, define the interfaces between hardware and software. This will include collaboration with the webcam hardware engineering team, with the technology office, and regular interaction with our chip providers as well as our embedded software and software teams. You will work with our chip suppliers to inform their product roadmap and feature development priorities. Your technical background and experience allow you to make recommendations, discuss them with a team of seasoned engineers, and drive successful implementation. Your ability to collaborate with engineering and marketing stakeholders will be a key element for your success. In this role you will: Take ownership of the embedded software architecture of our video products geared towards productivity and collaboration Foster collaboration between Product Managers, Developers, Testers, Electrical Engineers and Software Architects Convert marketing needs into technical requirements, making sure they are consistent, complete, correct, and operationally defined Ensure that products are well defined before the development starts to streamline the effort and provide full support afterwards Provide strong documentation and specifications Communicate early and often about any significant events or issues affecting the team or delivery schedule and quality Facilitate discussions between Subject Matter Experts in order to find the right trade-off for design/modules responsibilities between electrical components, embedded software, application Define the solution with modularity, reuse and testability in mind, anticipates extensions and modifications in future stages Guide and mentor team members in the implementation of the solutions Agile thinking and be able to work in rapidly evolving; first of a kind development environment
